Landrovers for Venezuela Police Contract
Autumn 2005
VENEZUELA’S POLICE FORCE will be better seen and
heard thanks to Premier Hazard whom has equipped
more than 400 of its police vehicles.
The 412 Land Rover Defender vehicles have
been commissioned for Venezuela’s Ministry
of Justice through a specialist agency.
The agency who facilitate major defence
and emergency vehicle contracts worldwide,
commissioned Land Rover Special Vehicles
division for the contract, who in turn
commissioned long-established supplier
Premier Hazard to provide lightbars and
sirens to Venezuelan Police Force
specification.
Premier Hazard’s Optimax lightbars and
integral sirens will ensure they operate at
the highest levels of safety and visibility.
Land Rover’s Project Manager Roy Beasley
comments:
"The special working
relationship between Premier Hazard's
technical team and Land Rover's electrical
engineers not only saved valuable
programme time, but also ensured a quality
product suited to specific market
requirements. This was most evident during
the prototype stage conducting harness
design, system functionality and assembly
trials with shared enthusiasm."
“This was one of the largest contracts that
Special Vehicles has undertaken in recent
years, so it was very pleasing to see the
delight on the customer's face during a visit
from representatives of the Venezuelan
Ministry of Interior. Their satisfaction with
regard to the overall quality of the vehicles
and equipment was clearly evident.”
Land Rover’s Purchasing Manager Clive
Smith added:
“We view Premier Hazard as
our main supplier of light bar equipment
because they are competitively priced and
reliable in terms of delivery.”
